VALOGIX® Inventory Planner

VALOGIX® Planner is tightly integrated to SAP Business One and manages an unlimited number of items and locations. Users have instant visibility to the Master warehouse, to field stock, and everything in between. The proprietary planning engine efficiently plans for each item\location combination based on its unique characteristics. For example, a regional warehouse replenishes lower level and field locations; therefore, it is both a supplier and warehouse location. This allows Valogix to handle different lead times, costs, and other variables for more precise planning with SAP® Business One.

The Inventory Transfer Module, in conjunction with VALOGIX® Inventory Planner, enables SAP Business One users to optimize their inventory investment

SAP Business One Main Menu

by managing both the purchasing of new inventory and the intra-company transfer of inventory from one location to another. With the inventory transfer functionality SAP Business One users now have the ability to approve transfer requests, print a pick list, define and print a packaging list and Bill of Lading, and receive the stock.

The VALOGIX Inventory Transfer Module is built right into SAP Business One for easy access and use. On the Main Menu just navigate to the Inventory Tab and Click to expand the Inventory sub-menu.

Click on Inventory Transactions and then Stock Transfer to open the inventory transfer sub-menu. All the stages are available as you need them.

VALOGIX® Planner Enhances MRP Process in SAP Business One

MRP Process Overview
The basic purpose of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is determining how much of which products needs to be either manufactured or purchased based on it being a component or ingredient of another item. MRP also determines when the product is required. Every item can have either Independent Demand or Dependent Demand.

Independent Demand is based on an item being an end product of a manufacturing facility. Independent Demand would include end products that are sold directly to customers or distributors, spare parts that are sold to repair shops or customers, supplies that are sold directly, etc.

Dependent Demand is based on an item being used, consumed, absorbed, destroyed, etc. in the manufacturing process of making other items. This might include raw materials, purchased parts, sub assemblies, or complex parts that are also themselves manufactured or assembled. Some dependent demand may be the result of waste or scrap from the manufacturing process.

An MRP system is intended to simultaneously meet three objectives:

Ensure materials and products are available for production and delivery to customers
Maintain the lowest possible level of inventory
Plan manufacturing activities, delivery schedules and purchasing activities"

Valogix enhances the Assembly Planning capability in Business One. Valogix uses a Bill of Material hierarchy sourced and establishes the 'level' of a component i.e. parent level (Level 1) sub assembly level (s) (Level 2) Raw Material Level (s) (Level 3). It can accommodate a component having different levels in different Bills. Inventory Flow dynamically tracks the inventory status changes. Valogix manages an unlimited number of locations improving the SAP Business One process.
